The Paperboy (2012)

What do you get when you take the guy who made Precious (2009), add heartthrob Zac Efron and cast Nicole Kidman as a sex-crazed cougar in a steamy crime drama? You get the R rated thriller The Paperboy (2012) — not to be confused with the R rated thriller The Paper Boy (1994). In this campy and pulpy flick, brothers Ward (Matthew McConaughey) and Jack Jansen (Efron) are recruited by the vampy Charlotte Bless (Kidman) in 1965. She hires the guys to investigate the case of her incarcerated sweetheart Hillary Van Wetter (John Cusack). As a bone-us, Ms. Bless blesses us by donning an itsy bitsy teeny weeny bikini that highlights her butt cheeks. If that’s not arousing enough, the skintastic actress also lets us see her cleavage via the black brassiere she wears in one scene. She also sports pink panties in a revealing crotch shot. Indeed, Ms. Kidman pees on a prone Mr. Efron in the sand. No wonder the Hollywood Foreign Press nominated her for a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress! Set in swampy Florida, the story drips with humidity as a couple of bathing beauties (Camille Balsamo and Leslie Hippensteel) flash their flesh in sixties swimwear. The motion picture also includes David Oyelowo, Macy Gray, Nealla Gordon, Scott Glenn, and the nude boobs on Shannon Trosclair! Of the film, The Guardian wrote “those who prefer delicate watercolors had better stand well back. It makes a lurid splash.” No doubt, the publication was referring to Mr. Skin’s pants!
