Review

Victor Buono is best remembered as King Tut on the cult '60s TV show Batman, but he had practice playing villains, as The Mad Butcher (1972) proves. After taking enough from his battleaxe of a wife, he decides to take an axe to her and then sell her flesh as Vienna sausages. She's good enough to eat. And when his brother-in-law and Hansi Linder, as his redheaded hooker, get in the way, they become the second course--thankfully, not before Hansi shows off her hootsi. Only his neighbor, Karen Field, who likes to strip by the window, escapes the butcher's cleaver. Maybe that's because she's good enough to eat raw.
