The Juror (1996)

Court proceedings aren’t just like battle, they are in fact war. Each side is locked in a mortal combat, intending to destroy the other. Occasionally, as in The Juror (1996), the civilized hostilities will cross over to actual killing. It’s just not safe to be impaneled in the trial of a Mafia boss who is obviously guilty of heinous felonies. These resourceful and ruthless fellows have ways of reaching out and touching anyone. Their time-proven methods of intimidation and menace can make even the most damning evidence seem suddenly superfluous. Truly, sitting in judgment of such men is a no-win situation. Acquiesce to their demands, exert an influence to win their acquittal, and you become a loose end that needs to be tied up. How in hell’s name will Demi Moore ever outwit and survive these professional killers?
