The Aquatic Effect

The Aquatic Effect (2016) is a French and Icelandic movie about two worlds merging into one when Samir (Samir Guesmi) falls in love at first sight with Agathe (Florence Loiret Caille). He works as a crane operator in Paris and sees her getting rid of a jerk hitting on her on the street. He learns she is a swimming instructor, so he takes swim lessons from her under the guise of getting close to her. The rouse works until an incident happens in the pool where Samir accidentally shows that he is actually an expert swimmer. He then has to work to win back Agathe's trust.
