German oceanographer Tom (Andreas Pietchmann) sets sail on his yacht with his French doctor wife Julia (Émilie Dequenne, in one of the last roles filmed before her death), and their children Cassie (Lisa Delamar) and Ben (Lucan Ebel). They are tooling around the Carribbean to celebrate Ben’s 13th birthday, but the party gets cut short after a bizarre electrical storm hits, causing chaos in the ocean as satellites start falling from the sky. Once the night is over, they find that their damaged boat has been stranded on a dry seabed and learn that somehow the Earth’s poles have been reversed. They radio for help and are able to reach a submarine containing a Chinese research team headed by a fellow oceanographer named Nao (Olivier Ho Hio Hen). Now they have to race to the sub’s coordinates before the poles reverse again, a feat made even more dangerous with the emergence of hungry, crab-like creatures who want to feast on them. Émilie brandishes some capticating cleavage in her tight swimsuit as she takes a dip in the sea, and even teases the top of her tush and some sideboob in the shower. This is also Lisa’s first professional acting gig ever, so her sunbathing in a teeny red bikini marks the film newbie’s nudecomer debut! Now that’s worth celebrating!
