After seeing his girlfriend killed in Afghansitan, freelance photographer Bob Griffioen (Waldemar Torenstra) flees to the Dutch island of Texel in the drama Summer Heat (2008). There he meets Kathleen (Sophie Hilbrand) as she’s doing some nude sunbathing on the beach and starts a relationship with her despite her connection to a local gangster.
