Ah, the classic time loop trope again. One of our favorites! Just like Groundhog Day (1993), Edge of Tomorrow (2014), Palm Springs (2020), and now The Map of Tiny Perfect Things.  What seems like it should be pretty well oiled territory of someone caught in a loop, trying to figure out how to get out of the loop or figuring out themselves in the process... This one follows a little bit different of an ethos for our time delineation deficient protagonists along the way.  We start by following the clever and quick witted teen, Mark (Kyle Allen), who is actually kind of content in his endless loop of living the same day over and over again.  He can cruise through town on his bike, never having to worry about crashing because he knows where all the cars are going to be, never has to pay for anything because he knows exactly when someone is going to leave their coffee or sandwich unattended, and overall just coasting by.  That is until he meets another time challenged teen in Margaret (Kathryn Newton), and they hit it off immediately.  They both are living the same day over, so they decide to join forces to see why, while slowly growing fond of each other in an unanticipated way.  As they spend eternity together, they soon start to piece together The Map of Tiny Perfect Things about their day.  Cloud formations, people they can help, crimes they can stop, and love they can't seem to fight!  While this young adult romp lacks any real skin from the stars, we do get to see the alluring Anna Mikami in a bikini for a bit as Mark tries to save her from falling in a pool again and again!
