A translator and an ex-con get wrapped up in a terrorist threat in Secret défense (2008). Low-level drug dealer Pierre (Nicolas Duvauchelle) gets sent to prison and is befriended by a radical Muslim after he runs afoul of a group of fascists. Upon his release he travels to a secret camp to be trained to become a martyr for the radical cause. Meanwhile Diane (Vahina Giocante) is studying Arabic at college in Paris and is recruited by the French Secret Service to infiltrate an Islamic organization.
