As Sally Kirkland's career matured, so did her mams--straight into almost monstrously bloated balloons of fun. By the time she was nominated for an Oscar in Anna (1987), those girls deserved their own Golden Globes. She may never have risen to that heady state of superstardom, but she's raised enough pants to keep an army of tailors in business fixing all those popped zippers. Her career of bouncing back and forth from one series to another balanced out with a hefty helping of skinful cinematic work. Sally first flashed skinage in Futz! (1969), which featured the bizarre nakedness of Sally riding a hog Lady Godiva-style. In Coming Apart (1969), she exposed her full-frontal, unshaven furburger and all-beef patties. Sally then went on to shed her threads in such films as Big Bad Mama (1974), Double Exposure (1982), Double Threat (1993)--she has something for doubles . . . and so do we--In the Heat of Passion (1992), and Amnesia (1997). And there's more, but oddly less of Sally. Let's explain: she claims that she used money from her role in ED TV (1999) to have her breast implants surgically removed. So we have to wonder if the old broad is starting to lose her mind.
