Running Scared (1986)

Gregory Hines and Billy Crystal are a pair of South Side cops who crack wise and mop streets with bad guys in the action comedy Running Scared (1986), not to be confused with the thriller Running Scared (2006). This buddy pic follows Ray Hughes (Hines) and Danny Costanzo (Crystal) as they track down drug lord Julio Gonzales (Jimmy Smits) — until some of their doings get Captain Logan (Dan Hedaya) in a bit of a snit so he sends them off for a nice rest in sunny Key West. While there, the Chicago policemen decide to retire. Of course, no cop should ever consider leaving the force because the mere thought sends out a signal to law-breakers far and wide, telling them to take advantage of the situation. Needless to say, cocaine dealings and other criminal activities ensue until the big showdown at the State of Illinois Center. Along the way, we encounter Anna Costanzo (Darlanne Fluegel), Snake (Joe Pantoliano), Frank (Steven Bauer), Tony (Jonathan Gries), and the marvelous Maryann (Tracy Reed). The latter lady proves to be a scene stealer when she sheds her threads on camera. Just 18 minutes into the flick, we get to see her fine heinie.  Later, Ms. Reed reveals her ravishing rack in the sack. If that’s not arousing enough, Natividad Ríos Kearsley flashes her ass at the 50-minute mark. No wonder the flick was a box office hit. It made more than $38 million in ticket sales and earned even more interest via spank banks!
