Ah the 70’s, a more simple time when you could simply skate and dance your troubles away. Roller Boogie (1979) combines those elements in a classic that tells the story of Terry (Linda Blair), a talented flautist who is on her way to Julliard. The reality is, she hates playing the flute and classical music and is only going to Julliard to make her wealthy parent’s happy. Her real passion is roller boogie. Terry hangs out at a Venice Beach skate rink where she meets a guy, falls in love, competes in a roller boogie competition and fights to save a local skating rink. Linda also spends a little time hanging out by the pool with her friends where she kicks back in her bikini painting her toenails. There is no exercising of demons here, just a nice look at her funbags as she gets up, wraps a towel around her waist and walks off.
