A professor with strong Socialist convictions finds his ideological loyalties tested by love in the politically themed romantic comedy Reise nach Weimar (1996). Sylvester Groth stars as Dr. Hauke Wolf, a leftist who’s still reeling over German reunification. When Wolf meets the radiant Italian beauty Mafalda (Barbara Auer) he’s immediately smitten, but when he learns that she played a part in the dissolution of the GDR, he has to make a tough choice. Well, actually it’s not all that hard--East Germany’s history and Auer’s ample bosoms are quite well, thank you. Your call, Dr. Wolf!
