Rabbit, our titular protagonist, is a guy who's equally unhappy and unsure of how to rectify that situation in any kind of a meaningful way. A former basketball prodigy, he doesn't have a career he enjoys and is in a loveless marriage with a woman named Janice (Carrie Snodgress). She's pregnant and neither one of them is excited about it, so Rabbit decides to run away and move in with a mistress named Ruth (Anjanette Comer), who he eventually becomes disenchanted with as well. He goes back to the hospital and makes amends with Janice when she has her baby, but their relationship becomes sexless and Rabbit goes back to Ruth, who is also pregnant. While Rabbit is with Ruth, Janice accidentally drowns her baby, which most of the family ends up blaming Rabbit for. Instead of committing to either Ruth or Janice, Rabbit runs off again. Sigh. At least we get to see bare boobage from Anjanette and a great ass shot during a shower scene with Carrie?
