Pieces Of Her (2022)

Based on the 2018 novel of the same name by Karin Slaughter, Pieces of Her is a Netflix series which debuted in early March, 2022, and is the latest in a burgeoning subgenre of stories wherein an otherwise seemingly docile and normal person is revealed to have a dark and violent past. Andy (Bella Heathcote) has lived her entire life convinced that her mother Laura (Toni Collette) is a total pushover. That all changes when the pair is caught in a horrible mass shooting event and Laura steps out of the crowd to dispatch the perpetrators with ease, revealing an all-too-casual comfortableness with violence that throws Andy for a loop. Now, Andy must assemble the... wait for it... pieces of her mother's past to figure out how she acquired these skills and why she turned her back on her past. Bella Heathcote has a sexy scene in the series where she strips down to her underwear, while Toni Collette reveals (with the help of some cgi) that her right breast was removed in a mastectomy. However, it's Jessica Barden of Penny Dreadful fame who gives the series its only nudity as she strips down for a sex scene in which she reveals her ass and very nearly shows off her breasts! Pieces of Her? More like Pieces of Ass!
