One of These Days (2021)

In 1997, a documentary came out called Hands on a Hardbody, about an annual contest held at an East Texas car dealership where 24 people compete to win a Nissan pickup truck by seeing who could keep at least one hand on it the longest. In 2011, it was adapted into a musical and then ten years later, German writer-director Bastian Günther came out with this feature-length drama mainly focused on Kyle (Joe Cole), an unemployed husband and father whose desperation to tale home the truck has him teetering on insanity. Despite participants having to battle the East Texas heat, bugs, and sleep deprivation in addition to the other competitors, the head of the dealership’s PR (Carrie Preston) insists it’s “a blast.” Speaking of blasts, you’ll blow a load when you see Carrie’s bare breasts for the first time at almost fourteen minutes in!
