A young German woman searches for her roots in Novemberkind (2008). Inga (Anna Maria Mühe) grew up with her grandparents in Southern Germany and was always led to believe that her mother had drowned soon after her birth. When she finds out that there may be a deeper truth she sets out to track down the mother she never knew. Joining her is Robert (Ulrich Matthes), a creative writing teacher who is struggling to write a novel based on his research into the Cold War, and who knows more about Inga’s past than he is letting on. Anna Maria Mühe is searching for her mom but all we are looking for is a glimpse of her mams, and we finally find them when she takes a bouncy skinny dip in the ocean. She’s getting more than the water splashing in that scene!
