New Jack City (1991)

Enjoy some ’90s revivalism with New Jack City (1991), which is still one of the best crime dramas to come out of the decade. Most of the credit, of course, goes to Wesley Snipes’s amazing turn as a heartless drug lord. But there’s a pretty amazing cast all around, with Ice-T, Mario Van Peebles and even Judd Nelson briefly shining as hardworking cops. And don’t forget the ladies, with Tracy Camilla Johns puttin’ the jackin’ into the new city.
