Tracy Camilla Johns was born in Queens, New York, and got her big break from the famous Brooklyn director Spike Lee. He cast her in his cinematic debut, She's Gotta Have It (1986), in which she plays a woman who has three simultaneous sexual relationships. Unsurprisingly, she shows off what it is that we need to have. The movie brought Tracy limited success, though, spawning only a cameo on Family Ties, a video vixen role in Tone Loc: Wild Thing (1989), bit parts in Mo' Better Blues (1990) and New Jack City (1991), and a recurring role on the short-lived television series Snoops. And although it's not an official acting credit, she appeared in a 1988 advertisement for Air Jordan sneakers with Michael Jordan and Spike Lee.
