Mr. 3000 (2004)

In the hit sports comedy Mr. 3000 (2004), a former Major League batting champion comes out of retirement when a statistical error leaves him shy of a Hall of Fame-worthy 3000 hits. Knowing that his surly attitude won’t win over prospective voters, Stan Ross (Bernie Mac) decides to get back in shape and slap a few singles into left field to stamp his ticket to Cooperstown. It’s a tough row to hoe, particularly when he could just as easily stay retired and in the arms of a smoking Angela Bassett. The soulful actress never sheds her skivvies, but even in her mid-forties she’s as tantalizing as ever.
