Melissa, quite sadly, only made her way onto The Silver Screen the one time. What a drag it is to see such a beautiful (and seemingly talented, although we’ll never quite know for sure…) woman’s career span… all of one flick! Especially when that one flick is the 1980 Troma gross-out, semi-screwball comedy Squeeze Play.As the title suggests, the film is sort of about softball. A group of fellers has a team, their girlfriends get tired of riding the sideline pine, they form a team of their own and unless you brain dead or totally pissed, you guessed it, wackiness ensues. We’ve seen it before, we’ve seen it since.Naturally, Melissa, along with the likes of Helen Campitelli and Jennifer Hetrick, who actually went on to a fairly decent acting career, provide some much-needed eye-candy to the razor-thin plot. Melissa didn’t actually get around to showing “real” Skin in the flick, although the 1980s-era “Short Shorts” and a flash of her spankies more than made up for the lack of flesh-flashing. We’d have done it differently, that much is certain…
