Meeting Point (2021)

Truth be told, the generational gap is very real when it comes to having things in common, especially in this digital age.  Well, it was probably always that way as older people don't understand younger people and their damn disco clubs and hip-hops!  This is a worldwide occurrence too, so cut to Istanbul, Turkey where a 54 year old man, married with children, has a chance encounter with a woman in her 20s, played by Melisa Senolsun.  She's not just your garden variety manic-pixie girl who steals the heart of the older man who pines after she, she's nails on chalkboard crazy, bouncing around the city, stealing motorcycles and food while jumping from nightclub to drag revue.  Over the next several hours, the reserved older man joins her on her nightly adventures and comes out of his strict muslim and conservative bubble to learn that his life has been passing him by without ever seeing other communities, lifestyles, love, music, and closeness that he has been desperately missing in his lonely life for his 54 years on Earth.  She opens his world up to new things, he learns acceptance and love he didn't think he had in him, and all the while we get to see a close-up look at one night in Istanbul through the eyes of a longtime resident, first time fun-haver on the back of a beautiful younger woman's stolen motorcycle!  Lucky for us too, the stunning Turkish delight Melisa Senolsun shows a bit of skin on stage while doing a showgirl routine in a blonde wig and low-cut bustier!
