Blonde starlet Maria Pitillo made her first TV appearance in a Pepto-Bismol commercial and soon landed her first bit part on a 1984 episode of Miami Vice. Too bad her skin has also remained more or less fully coated onscreen so far, but she's still working, so there's still hope! In 1986 she made her feature-film debut playing a masseuse alongside Danny DeVito and Joe Piscopo in Wise Guys (1986). Soap stardom soon followed when she played southern bad girl Nancy Don Lewis on Ryan's Hope from 1987 to 1989. Since then her film career has been more successful than her TV stints, as she has appeared on more than one failed sitcom, including Partners and House Rules. Her first "big" film role was in the CBS Schoolbreak Special What If I'm Gay? (1987), in which she had nothing whatsoever to do with the lead male character's decision to hit for the other team. Her biggest film roles to date were as brunette coffee-shop owner Gloria McKinney, who fell for Greg Kinnear, in Dear God (1996) and news reporter Audrey Timmonds in the remake of Godzilla (1998).
