Manhattan Night (2016)

Based on the 1996 novel Manhattan Nocturne, Manhattan Night (2016) centers on a tabloid writer named Porter Wren (Adrien Brody) who has a penchant for using his journalistic prowess to uncover—or fabricate, as it were—unfortunate truths. His job is in some serious jeopardy when the paper he writes for gets bought by a rich dude named Hobbs (Steven Berkoff), so when he is approached by a beautiful blonde named Caroline (Yvonne Strahovski) who wants to solve the mystery of her filmmaker husband's death, he takes the gig. Soon he's taking his pants off too, since Porter starts railing Caroline while investigating her husband's death. Nobody becomes a hoe like a lonely widow! When it ends up Caroline's dead hubby used to film all sorts of stuff, Hobbs tasks Porter with finding and destroying a tape he was involved in making. All sorts of twists, turns and secretly recorded videos later and this big apple based neo-noir will have you questioning everything you thought was happening. Our possibly fatal femme fatale absolutely scorches the screen in this one. Not only does Yvonne get it on with some old dude, opening her legs in a bra and panties before glancing at the camera she's hidden in the corner, but a little later Porter strips her down and we see this blonde bombshell's buns as she lies in bed with him. What incentive is there to solve the mystery of what happened to the Mr. when she's giving up the booty? But the best scene is the one where Porter is creeping on her in the shower, only to get caught and invited to join her in there. That's the one where Yvonne gives us an e-rection thanks to her amazing rack. This adaptation of Manhattan Nocturne will give you serious nocturnal emissions!
