Director Sidney Lumet may be known for more highbrow work, but he flexes his skin muscles in Lovin' Molly (1974). Based on Larry McMurtry's novel Leaving Cheyenne, it tells the story of Blythe Danner, a real Blythe spirit who shares her good lovin' Molly with both Anthony Perkins and Beau Bridges. There's a lot of Molly to love, and Lumet does us all a favor by showing that love package unwrapped. And if that's not enough, he adds a roll in the hay with a young and hung (as in breasts) Susan Sarandon. Mr Skin loves Molly but lusts for Susan!
