Les ripoux (1984)

Les ripoux (1984), or My New Partner, stars Philippe Noiret as Rene, a rotten cop used to being on the take from various criminals, but when his longtime partner retires, he suddenly finds himself partnered with Francois (Thierry Lhermitte), a by the book rookie cop. Can this odd couple get their act together long enough to actually take down a criminal enterprise rather than being on the take from one?
