Billionaire playboy Louis Casteigne (Audran Cattin) is an excessive partier whose heavy spending and self-absorbed lifestyle are putting a serious strain on his father Jean-Francois (Kad Merad), the C.E.O. of a luxury hotel chain. Wanting to teach his son a lesson, Jean-Francois comes up with an outlandish plan - drugging and kidnapping Louis and then making him believe he has time-traveled to 18th-century France and has to work like a peasant. The fake setting is meticulously constructed and filled with convincing actors, but a few signs of the modern world can be found beneath the surface - specifically, the very 21st-century red undies seen under the skirt of Jade Pedri as she dismounts her horse.
