Taking place after the October 7th attacks in the Gaza Strip, this story follows Y (Ariel Bronz), a jazz pianist who lives with his dancer wife Yasmine (Efrat Dor) and their infant child in Tel Aviv. Though still reeling from the death of his pro-Palestinian mother, Y and Yasmine spend their days performing cabaret acts (and sometimes a little something extra) for the ultra elite in Israel until Y is contacted by a Russian billionaire (Aleksei Serebyakov) and commissioed to compose a new national anthem. He has to say yes of course, to help support his wife and baby, but this capitulation causes a breakdown, and afterwards a distraught Y runs off to meet up with an old lover named Leah (Naama Preis). But he’s not the only one bending over backwards for people. Muriel Hadassa Taleb makes her nude debut by letting a partygoer snort lines off her bare ass. There’s also a scene where Ariel and Efrat double team nudecomer Idit Teperson by licking her ears simultaneously. And finally, there’s Efrat, who not only shows off dance moves but her terrific T’n’A as well. This movie doesn’t just get a “yes,” it gets a “hell yes” from us!
