La Bella e la bestia (1977) translates to The Beauty and the Beast, but Luigi Russo’s film is not to be confused with the kid-friendly Disney fare. This naughty opus discards sexual taboos with gleeful abandon, mixing naughty themes not limited to nymphomania, copulation with animals, and sadomasochism. What could be a tedious exercise is made irresistibly engrossing by the presence of Euro sex starlets Lisbeth Hummel and Brigitte Petronio, who indulge in a wide range of colorful perversities.
