In the smoldering, sacrilegious romance La Profanazione (1974), a doctor falls in love with one of the nurses at his Catholic hospital. Simonetta Stefanelli stars as the sexy nun who goes from changing bedpans to slipping out of her habit for discreet encounters with her desirous superior. When their relationship goes south, the doctor resorts to some questionable medical tactics to rekindle his lover’s affections. Stefanelli’s sultry love scenes offer reason enough to watch, but a supporting turn from the insatiable Anita Strindberg is a nice draw too. She sheds her threads and rolls around on the shag carpet in one particularly smoking scene.
