Kimberly Hyde may have fallen off the skin-o-meter after a fleshtastic role in Video Vixens (1975), but before that she left a great body of wank work to drool over. While a fixture in the early '70s randy wave of sexploitation films, kinky Kimberly got her big break in the Oscar-winning Peter Bogdanovich movie The Last Picture Show (1971). The black-and-white film burst into pink, at least in the lurid mind of Mr. Skin, when Kimberly offered a titillating full-frontal (and dorsal) shot during the infamous skinny-dipping scene. Take it from us, it's muff-tastic! After that revealing part, she had no problem picking up sexy roles in such films as The Young Nurses (1973), Candy Stripe Nurses (1974)--are we seeing a trend, here?--and Foxy Brown (1974). No, Ms. Brown was not a nurse . . . what a career challenge that must have been! Out of those flicks, she only managed to flash some skin in Candy Stripe Nurses, which featured yet another lush look at her lovely hooter-age. One out of three isn't shabby, but we do miss seeing her Hyde. Unfortunately for all the skin-aholics out there, lovely Kimberly participated in her last screen credit in Desperation Rising (1989) where she played as Lady Godiva. In the eyes of Mr. Skin, we consider Kimberly Hyde's rather abrupt departure from the world of skin a borderline tragedy. Here's to hoping that someone someday will find a forget trove of Hyde's skin-ful celluloid to drop our pants to with fresh eyes.
