It takes a special actress to make an Amish woman come off as sexy, and Kelly McGillis did just that by taking off her top and employing her special rack in Witness (1985). Despite the acclaim won by the Newport Beach, California, spawn for that nuanced performance and two more in Top Gun (1986) and The Accused (1988), McGillis faltered along her career path and stumbled into a series of projects that highlighted her nipples as much as they did her emoting. From the beachfront nudity of Grand Isle (1991) to the breast bared through ripped bodice in Painted Angels (1998) to the perfectly lit, perfect absence of clothing during the lesbianic tryst of The Monkey's Mask (2001). McGillis had been dogged by rumors that she was a lesbian for most of her career (those scenes in The Monkey's Mask were awfully convincing), but she finally came out and admitted her love of ladies in 2009, co-SKIN-cidentally one year after she played a rug-muncher on The L Word in 2008.
