Jalla! Jalla! (2000)

The Swedish romantic comedy Jalla! Jalla! (2000) is said as if one were hollerin' at some ladies, "Holla, Holla!" Man, remember that guy on Chappelle's Show who would holla at ladies? Just imagine him saying the title, that'll get you where you need to be. Anyway, no one's hollerin' at ladies in Jalla! Jalla!, which follows the exploits of Roro (Fares Fares), a young Lebanese immigrant living in Sweden who wants nothing more than to stay in his adopted country and marry his girlfriend Lisa (Tuva Novotny). However, just before he's about to introduce Lisa to his family, his family springs a surprise on him, which is that they arranged for him to marry a Lebanese woman and return with them to their home country. Now Roro is dealing with the impending nuptials to a woman he doesn't want to marry, while also doing his best to not let his girlfriend know that his parents have other plans for him. On top of all of this, Roro's buddy Mans (Torkel Petersson) is having problems getting and maintaining an erection, and this was in the pre-Viagra days, so you can only imagine the lengths he has to go to in order to cure his problem. Thankfully Sofi Ahlström Helleday is on hand to add some skin to the equation, serving as his lover for the night and baring her breasts, which unfortunately don't seem to help his problems any! Oh well, if that guy's finished, maybe you'll want to Jalla! Jalla! at Sofi yourself!
