Into the Wind (2022)

Netflix has been positively swimming in Polish content over the last year or so and the latest Polish flick to capture audiences' attention is Pod Wiatr (2022), or Into the Wind! Spoiled teenager Ania (Sonia Mietielica) has spent her entire life in a bubble of privilege, which has obviously had its advantages, but it has also left her almost entirely closed off from actual human contact and relationships. All of that is about to change when she takes her first vacation as an adult away from her family to an exclusive seaside resort for the summer, giving her a first taste of all that life has to offer outside of her bubble. It's here that she meets and instantly falls for Michal (Jakub Sasak) a windsurfing instructor whose entire life has been the polar opposite of Ania's, never having enough money, but also never lacking in fun and adventure. As these two opposites attract, all of the de rigueur misunderstandings of the romantic comedy will rear their head and ensure that this flick treads absolutely no new ground on its way to a foregone conclusion where the rich girl with the stick up her ass learns to loosen up and hip hop dance or whatever. These movies are all the same. Thankfully this one distinguishes itself by having some great nudity from leading lady Sonia Mietielica, who makes her nude debut here, baring her breasts and buns in several scenes, including when she goes skinny dipping! Too bad they couldn't have just made those scenes the entire movie.
