Intimisto (2001)

A woman begins to edge into nervousness as a result of her dissatisfaction of the status quo. Ultimately she feels trapped in an emptiness she finds incapable of escaping from while stuck with an inner pain she is unable to deal with. Everything surrounding her turns into a conglomeration of grayness, and the individual actions and motions of others feels distant and impersonal. She gets involved in a love affair that she doesn’t want to be a part of anymore, that she wishes would just go away. Eventually she starts to wonder if she’s even human, since the whole enterprise of social interaction feels alien to her.

Jeanne Balibar plays the lead woman in Intimisto (2001). While in bed with her bang bud, she has her tank top pulled up above her knockers as she sleeps. This is about as intimate as things’ll get in this film.
