Do the French ever stop meditating on matters existential? Pierre Lacan, the writer/director/star of Les Corps solitaires (2003) has an absolutely gorgeous woman (French actress Valérie Gabriel) totally naked in front of him, and all he can think about is the distance that will grow between them as soon as they finish making love. Valérie, who bares full-frontal nudity throughout this 16-minute short film, is similarly preoccupied. Mr. Skin says they should just relax and seize the day--as for him, he'll be busy seizing himself.
