A gland-mark in skinema history, Inspiration (1915) crafts the timeless tale of The Artist (Thomas A. Curran) in search of The Model (Audrey Munson)—and specifically the one perfect model who took his breath away. After his discovery of the perfect model being, Curran now lives only to immortalize her in sculpture. Audrey is glorious in her muse role—and out of her clothes in the first recorded incident of a credited actress unveiling her naked body in a feature film. Inspiration? They ought to call it Skinspiration!
