I'm Still Here (2024)

The Oscar winning film I'm Still Here (2024) tells the true story of Eunice Paiva (Fernanda Torres), a wife and mother who becomes an activist when her husband Rubens (Selton Mello) is disappeared by a corrupt military regime that has swept into power in Brazil. With no explanation for his whereabouts, Eunice and her five children attempt to carry on like normal in the face of severe abnormalities, always hopeful that her husband and the children's father is returned to them safely. Near the end of the film, Eunice herself is taken into custody and she takes a shower after being released, giving us some brief but welcome PG-13 T'n'A from leading lady Fernanda Torres!
