If it’s our way or the Highway (2001), we’ll take the highway, for ironically that’s our way, too. This road movie stars Jared Leto, who is caught fucking Kimberly Kates by her gangster husband (always a bad move), and he must flee to a more tolerant place like Las Vegas. He convinces his buddy, Jake Gyllenhaal, to take the fear and loathsome journey with him. Gyllenhaal has an alternative motivation: he wants to meet up with an old girlfriend. All this takes place the day after Kurt Cobain committed suicide, which is an odd marker, and adds a poignancy that would likely otherwise be missing. Things really heat up with they rescue a runaway hooker, played by Selma Blair. The problem is that only Kimberly shows skin, the solution is that she does show breasts and bush.
