Ghost Light (2019)

The concept and visuals of the "ghost light" in the world of theater is a bit creepy... It's basically just a single light bulb left on the stage for safety purposes and to let the otherwise completely dark theater have a single light to guide the way for anyone who is there by themselves.  In Ghost Light though, there is a bit more to it than just a safety guide for the theater tech who is closing things up after the show is over, it's to shine the way for the ghosts that are haunting the Rogue Theater in LA to let others know there is a killer in their midst!  For Joseph Watkins (Will Rothhaar), he's a young opportunistic scam artist who is trying to get a play put on in a supposedly haunted theater to impress an actress he is obsessed with, Virginia (Maddisyn Carter), who is on the verge of throwing in the towel on her acting career.  Unfortunately for Virginia though is that Joseph is a psycho killer and the ghosts that haunt the stage are in fact his victims who he brutally smashes to death with a sledge hammer in the dressing rooms!  That includes the former star in the making, Lydia (Meghan Burton), who he kills before putting together his latest play.  The problem for him though is that Lydia isn't going anywhere and is in fact haunting him more and more each day!  Causing him to spin into a paranoia that is giving a couple of LA's finest enough notice to make him the prime suspect in the killings around town!  For our sake, we probably can't name a finer ghost in the history of cinema than Meghan Burton though, who makes her Nude-Comer debut in this indie flick and she's about as bright at any Ghost Light we've ever seen!
