Michael Sheen and Frank Langella don't only star as Nixon and Frost in this Ron Howard-directed film, but they also starred in the London/Broadway Frost/Nixon play before it. (Langella even won a Tony for his role.) We probably don't need to rehash what happened, since it's based on the actual interviews between recently resigned Nixon and British TV host Frost, but just in case, here it is: Frost was known for his lightweight interviews, so when he decided to interview Nixon immediately following the Watergate scandal, he was rebuked by almost everyone around him. Not only did he pay hundreds of thousands of his own dollars to get Nixon on the show, but staked his whole career on getting a confession from the former president. Frost may or may not have had a little fun in the process, too - during one scene, a boob and butt-baring Marianne Chambers hops out of his bed in the buff! Nothing like a little stress relief during the most important career move of your life!
