Review

Roger Moore brings sex and swagger to the iconic role of 007 in For Your Eyes Only (1981), an Oscar-nominated entry in a famed film franchise. Based ever so loosely on an Ian Fleming novel, For Your Eyes Only is frequently cited as one of the most entertaining entries in the spy series. This time out, Bond’s dispatched to retrieve a high-tech encryption device from a top-secret trawler that’s been sunk off the coast of a Soviet satellite nation. Of course, it wouldn’t be Bond without a crackling thread of romantic intrigue, which is why honey-blonde Cassandra Harris and well-toned Lynn-Holly Johnson vie for the hero’s affections.
