Elder Island (2016)

Elder Island (2016) is based on true events in Beaver, Island Michigan in 1856, in which a preacher named King James Strang proclaimed himself king of these Michigan Islands. He gets assassinated, ending his reign. Five families have long controlled the island and shared in its fortune, but after they bury the island's once and former king they all now share a curse.
