Don't Answer the Phone! (1980)

It’s hard enough earning a living as a self-employed professional when everything is going right. To ply the trade of a shrink, for instance, entails several years of higher education, a complete course of intensive psychotherapy, expenses incurred in leasing and furnishing the office environment, and gallons and gallons of designer coffee so you can stay awake and alert while mewling neurotics sit across from you whining about all their problems for eight fifty-minute hours a day. Then, if you are the heroine of Don’t Answer the Phone! (1980), some creep starts slaying your patients one by one, and suddenly you can’t buy yourself a client. When the killer is finally caught, you can bet he’ll blame his behavior on something his mother did to him during potty training.
