When Nick runs afoul of the Turkish military, he immigrates to Germany, where he quickly runs afoul of the local mafia. One misadventure after another culminates in Nick having to look after a little Asian boy who has lost his father. Equal parts comedy and dark drama, Der Gestohlene Mond (2003) is a skillful look at parenthood and the problems of immigration. Sabine Vitua’s honeysuckables look particularly inviting as she lounges in bed with Nick.
