Cristina Raines left Manila behind for the Hollywood dream and began showing up on American TV in the early '70s. Her first small-screen role was in the made-for-TV tearjerker Sunshine (1973), where she appeared in flashbacks as breast-cancer casuatly Kate Hayden. Her resumé boasts an extensive list of TV bit parts, including appearances on such hits as Kojak, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, The Fall Guy, and Moonlighting, not to mention the lead role in the 1980 primetime soap Flamingo Road. She also kept busy with film throughout the '70s and '80s. Her most skintastic appearance was in the horror flick The Sentinel (1977), in which she played Alison Parker, a fashion model inhabiting a New York brownstone that doubles as a portal to hell. Not only is this film chock full of huge stars like Ava Gardner, Christopher Walken, and Burgess Meredith, there's a fantastic scene where Cristina sits opposite Beverly D'Angelo and watches her masturbate! The scene isn't a bit scary, but it is, um, "hair" raising . . .
