Review

Strangely enough, the movie Connemara (1990), whose title refers to a region in western Ireland, was made in France by a Frenchman. And while many of the cast have Irish names like Deirdre Donnelly, Maurice O'Donoghue, and Daragh O'Malley, they play characters named La Reine, L'évêque, and Frocin. The movie may or may not be based on Celtic mythology. It’s a riddle wrapped inside an enigma, and covered in full-frontal nudity, provided by Brigitte Marvine.
