Conamara (2000)

More than a decade after young lovers shared a brief but passionate affair in Amsterdam, they reunite under stormy circumstances in the evocative German drama Conamara (2000). Haunted by their intense and burnishing romantic interlude, Axel (Andreas Schmidt) travels to Ireland to be reacquainted with Maria (Ellen Ten Damme). When he discovers that she’s now a married mother, Axel decides that he’d rather stay in Ireland and try to cultivate a relationship with his ex-lover and her new family. In fact, Ten Damme’s well worth sticking around for--the foxy Dutch brunette’s naked strut around her house should be evidence enough of her sumptuous appeal.
