The great Catherine Zeta-Jones stars as Catherine the Great (1995), a real-life empress with a set of sweater mates that were made to impress. At least that's how she looks in this made-for-TV historical drama about a fine mama who rules over Russia with shrewdness that outshines even her boobness. Cath begins as a bookish teener married to a bit of a wiener, and she works her way into power with finesse, becoming the legendary empress who conquered the Turks, put down a Cossack conflict, and ended all the tussling with Russia. Omar Sharif, Jeanne Moreau, and Mel Ferrer also appear, but none outshine Cath's bare rear (or the three-B-baring Veronica Ferres, who plays hubba-hubba Vorontzova).
