Carry On Behind (1975)

The British are obsessed with both bums (the sweet and shapely seat meat variety, not homeless vagabonds) and cheeky humor, which is why we in America feel such a cultural attachment to the land that has given us such low-minded, high-prurience folly as Carry On Behind (1975). The British Carry On franchise is a bit like a low budget version of our Broken Lizard stuff, as the cast remain essentially the same throughout the 31 films in the series, and all the films are directed by Gerald Thomas. While many entries parody film genres, this one focuses on caravan camping misadventures. Fred (Windsor Davies) and his pal Ernie (Jack Douglas) leave their wives (Liz Frazer and Patricia Franklin) at home to head out for a camping trip. They meet two young hotties (Sherrie Hewson and Carol Hawkins) at the campground, only for it to end up that the campground isn't a normal one, it's the site of an archaeological dig being performed by all sorts of students and professors. Married couple Arthur (Bernard Bresslaw) and Linda (Patsy Rowlands) are there with an annoying old lady named Mrs. Barnes (Joan Sims) too, as are the weary travelers Joe (Ian Lavender) and Norma (Adrienne Posta). There's not really a plot here, just a bunch of gags strung together with our cast of crazy characters. Whether it's Mrs. Barnes' dirty talking bird running into a giant hungry dog, Ernie's sleep talking ruining any chance of the pair getting any outside of marriage action, or the camp owner (Kenneth Connor) accidentally hiring a stripper instead of a singer for the big camp bash, this film is nothing but hijinks! While lots of the jokes fall flat, what really carries the 27th film in the series are all the not so flat chested females willing to show some skin. Carol Hawkins and Patsy Rowlands both show off their bra beholden bosoms as they get changed inside their caravan. If this caravan's a rockin...Elke Sommer is in a bra as she changes her clothes, then flashes a bit of bun as she pulls up her skirt at the dig site. We dig it! But the real flashers in the flick were Helli Louise and Jenny Cox. Jeez did Miss Louise look hot as Helli showing T&A when a dude pulled down her shower curtain, while Miss Cox had us reaching for tube socks seeing her freshly unveiled cans when some jokester switches the tape the campers are watching with a film of her stripping. Nothing like shenanigans mixed with great cans and keisters! Sure, we would've liked some full frontal, but we couldn't get enough of those ladies taking it off in Carry On Behind!
