Before there were Sweathogs and Welcome Back, Kotter, UK audiences enjoyed the goofy antics of The Fenn Street Gang on the 1968 TV series Please Sir! (and, briefly, on a spin-off named after the kids’ collective moniker). Carol Hawkins easily stood out from the cast, thanks to a costuming department that kept her stuffed in bikinis and bras. This led to the lead role in the sci-fi spoof Zeta One (1969), where Hawkins’s floating hooters send plenty of dicks into orbit. While that remains her most skinsitive role, Hawkins remains a popular and beloved British comedienne--and Brits still love her sexy scenes in bawdy hit comedies like Carry On Abroad (1972) and Confessions of a Pop Performer (1975).
